Crash alert: Lincoln school bus accident injures 3 students, 1 adult
LINCOLN, NE – An SUV driver and three students were injured in a crash involving a Lincoln Public Schools bus on Friday morning, according to the Lincoln Journal-Star.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews were on the scene after the SUV and the bus collided in the area of Rosa Parks Way and South Folsom Street at about 7:25 a.m.
The SUV driver had to be freed from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital. Three students riding on the bus were also hospitalized, but authorities said all of the injuries were minor.
The bus was on the way to Roper Elementary School at the time with six students and two adults on board, KOLN reported. Lincoln Public Schools says all parents were notified of what had happened.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
