Crash alert: Omaha man charged with manslaughter in deadly car accident
OMAHA, NE – An Omaha man was charged with felony manslaughter on Monday following an accident last week that killed a passenger in his car, the Omaha World-Herald reported.

26-year-old Edward D. Purvis Jr. was ordered held on $200,000 bail at the Douglas County Jail. Police said Purvis was driving a BMW 335i sedan on the Northwest Radial Highway Friday when the car went off the road, hit a light pole and overturned at about 12:10 a.m.
The passenger, 23-year-old Lepree-Ava Carroll Fansler of Papillion, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead later at University of Nebraska Medical Center.
