Crash alert: Collision at intersection in Blair sends driver to hospital
BLAIR, NE – Law enforcement authorities and rescue crews were at the scene of a crash in Washington County Tuesday morning that left one of the drivers hospitalized.
According to the Washington County Pilot-Tribune & Enterprise, two vehicles collided in the area of 19th Street and Wright Street in Blair at about 9:30 a.m. Police said the driver of a Buick failed to yield the right of way while trying to turn onto Wright Street and crashed into a Hyundai Santa Fe. The collision sent both vehicles onto a sidewalk.
The Buick driver was taken to Memorial Community Hospital and Health System, in what was described as a precaution. The driver of the Santa Fe and a passenger declined medical treatment.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
