Crash alert: Car crashes into Lincoln restaurant, injuring driver
LINCOLN, NE – A car crashed into the side of a restaurant in Lincoln on Wednesday, leaving the driver injured.
According to the Lincoln Journal-Star, the accident occurred at Lee’s Chicken at Coddington Avenue and West Van Dorn Street. A man driving a Mercedes-Benz hatchback hit the restaurant at about 4:20 p.m. The driver was taken to the hospital, but no details have been released on his condition.
There was no one else in the car at the time, and no one in the restaurant was hurt.
Inspectors with Lincoln’s Building and Safety Department were at the scene to check the damage and evaluate the building’s structural integrity.
