Crash alert: Driver killed in multi-vehicle wreck on Highway 44 near Kearney
KEARNEY, NE – State troopers say a multi-vehicle crash near Kearney Thursday afternoon left one of the drivers dead, according to a report by KLKN.
The Nebraska State Patrol said 40-year-old Brandi Nigh of Lincoln was driving a Honda Accord south on Highway 44 at about 4 p.m. when she made a U-turn.
At that point her vehicle was hit by a Chrysler 300 that was also heading south. Both vehicles were then struck by a northbound semi/grain hauler.
Nigh was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other serious injuries in the accident.
The NSP is investigating the fatal wreck.
