Crash alert: Driver killed when car runs off road, hits tree in Douglas County
DOUGLAS COUNTY, NE – Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a crash that killed a Douglas County man, the Omaha World-Herald reports.
The accident occurred Monday afternoon in the area of 264th Street and West Center Road east of Venice. According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was driving a Toyota Camry north on 264th Street when he crossed over the center line shortly after 5 p.m. The vehicle struck a tree on the side of the road and the driver sustained fatal injuries.
He was identified as 61-year-old Daniel P. Baber Sr. of Venice.
