Crash alert: Motorcyclist dies in crash on I-80 off-ramp to 60th Street
OMAHA, NE – Police say a man was killed when his motorcycle was involved in a crash on an off-ramp of Interstate 80 in Omaha Sunday afternoon.
According to KETV, the victim was identified as 37-year-old Travis McQueen. He was exiting the interstate on the eastbound ramp onto 60th Street when the accident occurred at about 3:30 p.m., police said.
Investigators determined that McQueen lost control of his Kawasaki ZX600 bike and crashed into a light pole. He was pronounced dead after being rushed to Nebraska Medicine. McQueen was wearing a Department of Transportation approved helmet at the time.
The crash remains under investigation by Omaha Police.
