Crash alert: Police identify man killed in crash with dump truck in Lincoln
LINCOLN, NE – Police in Lincoln released additional details regarding a fatal collision between an SUV and a dump truck last week, according to the Associated Press and KTIV.
This is an update to a previous story.
The victim has now been identified as 24-year-old David J. McClain of Lincoln. Police said he was driving a Ford Flex near the intersection of North 70th Street and Cornhusker Highway when the accident occurred Wednesday at about 7 a.m. Witnesses said McClain pulled out in front of a dump truck, which then struck the SUV. McClain sustained fatal injuries while his mother, 44-year-old Kristie Jones, was critically injured.
The dump truck flipped onto its side, leaving the driver with elbow, back and neck injuries.
