Crash alert: SUV driver dies after crash with dump truck in Lincoln
LINCOLN, NE – The driver of an SUV died after a collision with a dump truck in Lincoln on Wednesday morning, reports the Lincoln Journal-Star.
The accident happened near the intersection of North 70th Street and Cornhusker Highway at about 7 a.m. Lincoln Police said the SUV driver failed to stop at a stop light while heading south on North 70th Street and was struck by the dump truck.
The SUV driver, who was not identified, died at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle sustained injuries described as life-threatening and was taken to an area hospital. The dump truck driver was treated for injuries at the scene.
