Crash alert: Young woman dead in rollover car crash in Nemaha County
NEMAHA COUNTY, NE – Investigators believe alcohol was a contributing factor in a crash that killed a young woman in Nemaha County early Saturday morning, according to KOLN.
The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as 21-year-old Grace Allgood of Auburn. She was driving a vehicle that was involved in a rollover crash on Highway 67 near 642 Avenue about two miles west of Peru.
Authorities said Allgood drove off the road at about 3 a.m. and overcorrected, resulting in the vehicle rolling over and going down an embankment. Allgood, who was partially ejected from the vehicle, died at the scene of the crash.
No one else was in the vehicle at the time. The victim was not wearing a seat belt, the sheriff’s office said.
