Crash alert: Victim identified after fatal SUV crash near Gering
GERING, NE – Authorities have released additional information regarding a fatal crash in Scotts Bluff County last week.
According to KHGI and the Associated Press, the Nebraska State Patrol identified the victim of the accident as 45-year-old Erin Vigil of Scottsbluff. Investigators said Vigil was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV east on Highway 92 near Gering when the accident occurred last Friday morning at about 9 a.m.
The NSP said the vehicle crossed the highway, went into a drainage ditch and rolled. Vigil was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
