Crash alert: Woman dies after pickup truck crashes into tree in Gretna
GRETNA, NE – A woman was killed when the pickup truck she was driving crashed Saturday afternoon in Sarpy County, News Channel Nebraska reports.
The victim was identified as 52-year-old Julia Wynkoop-Wiley of Gretna. Authorities said she was driving a Dodge Ram south on Westridge Road shortly after 12:30 p.m. when she drove off the road at a curve. The pickup crashed into a tree north of Capehart Road.
Wynkoop-Wiley was pronounced dead after being rushed to Nebraska Medicine. No one else was in the vehicle.
The crash is under investigation by the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office Crash Response Unit.
