Crash alert: 1 driver killed, 1 injured in head-on collision on Nebraska Highway 70
WESTERVILLE, NE – One driver was killed and another injured when their vehicles collided head-on in Custer County on Tuesday night.
The North Platte Telegraph reports the crash occurred on Nebraska Highway 70, about seven miles east of Westerville.
According to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office, 58-year-old Peggie L. Myers was driving a Chevrolet Impala westbound when she crossed over the center line. Her vehicle crashed into a Chrysler Concorde, causing the Impala to catch fire.
Myers, a Broken Bow resident, was pronounced dead after being transported to Jennie Melham Hospital. The other driver, 23-year-old Madison N. Dodson of Arcadia, was seriously injured and was taken to CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney.
