Crash alert: Driver hospitalized after vehicle slams into tree on Highway 75
BLAIR, NE – A driver was taken to the hospital Saturday morning following an SUV accident in Washington County, according to the Washington County Pilot-Tribute & Enterprise.
Investigators said 37-year-old Christopher B. Holmstedt of Blair was driving a Chevrolet Equinox north on U.S. Highway 75 near DeSoto shortly before 5:30 a.m. when he swerved to avoid a deer.
The vehicle crossed over the center line and collided with a tree, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.
Sheriff’s deputies and rescue crews responded to the scene, and transported Holmstedt to Memorial Community Hospital and Health System. No details were released on his condition.
