Crash alert: Man dies after being struck by vehicles on Platte County highway
COLUMBUS, NE – The Platte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred late Saturday night, reports KMTV and the Associated Press.
The victim was identified as 41-year-old Antonio Esquival Rivas of Shelby. According to investigators, he was standing on U.S. Highway 30 near Columbus when he was struck by a pickup truck heading west at about 11 p.m.
Rivas was then hit by a tow truck and another pickup truck that were going east on the highway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was injured in the incident.
