Crash alert: Man pleads no contest to vehicular homicide in fatal Lincoln crash
LINCOLN, NE – A man charged in connection with a deadly crash in north Lincoln last year has pleaded no contest to vehicular homicide, according to WOWT.
30-year-old Travis J. Loseman entered the plea Wednesday as part of a deal with the prosecution. The accident happened Oct. 23, 2020 at about 2 p.m. on Arbor Road near North 27th Street. Authorities said Loseman was driving a Ford Explorer SUV when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll several times.
A passenger, 28-year-old Justin Stotts of Lincoln, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger was hospitalized.
As part of the plea agreement, the charge against Loseman was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor. He will be sentenced in September, and faces up to a year in jail.
