Crash alert: 74-year-old man injured when vehicles collide at intersection in Greenwood
GREENWOOD, NE – A collision between two vehicles in Cass County Friday afternoon left a passenger injured, according to the Fremont Tribune.
Cass County Sheriff’s deputies and local rescue crews responded to the scene in the vicinity of U.S. Highway 6 and Main Street in Greenwood. Authorities said 68-year-old Benjamin J. Bohuslavsky of Cedar Creek was driving a GMC pickup truck at about 2:20 p.m. when he slowed down to make a left turn onto Main Street. His vehicle was rear-ended by a Dodge Journey driven by 23-year-old Jacob C. Hietala of Ashland.
A passenger in the pickup truck, 74-year-old Robert Wall, sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening. He was taken to Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. The two drivers were released by medics at the scene of the crash, officials said.
The sheriff’s office said Hietala was cited following the incident.
