Crash alert: Driver injured in crash involving car and tanker truck near Doniphan
DONIPHAN, NE – A driver was injured when her car was involved in a collision with a tanker truck in Hall County Friday morning, according to KSNB.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office and local emergency crews responded to the scene in the southbound lane of Highway 281 near Doniphan at about 8 a.m.
Investigators said a Toyota Camry crashed into a Kenworth tanker that was making a turn onto Highway 281 south. The Camry rolled and ended up on its side in a passing lane. The car’s driver, identified as 21-year-old Morgan Urbanski of Grand Island, was transported to CHI St. Francis Medical Center. No details were released on the extent of her injuries but she was expected to survive. The driver of the tanker truck, 59-year-old Timothy Green of Wood River, was not hurt.
Traffic on Highway 281 south was diverted to Binfield Road before being restored to normal after about an hour.
