Crash alert: Omaha police searching for driver who struck woman on 13th Street
OMAHA, NE – Police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash in Omaha Wednesday night.
In a news release, the Omaha Police Department said officers responded to the scene at 13th Street and Arbor Street at about 9:15 p.m. According to investigators, a pedestrian was walking across 13th Street when she was struck by a southbound SUV that then continued to head south and fled the scene.
The pedestrian, identified as 45-year-old Tara Boice, was seriously injured and taken to the Nebraska Medical Center. Police said her injuries were not life-threatening.
The vehicle involved in the crash was described as a newer white SUV with black roof rails, black wheels and tinted windows. Anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run was asked to contact the Omaha Police Traffic Unit or Omaha Crime Stoppers.
