CASS COUNTY, NE – A teenager is charged with driving under the influence following a motor vehicle accident in Cass County, KOLN reports.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office and rescue crews responded to the scene Thursday morning in the area of 202nd Street and Waverly Road after the incident occurred at about 3:45 a.m.
Investigators said a 17-year-old driver lost control of a vehicle, causing it to roll and go into a field near Waverly Road. The driver and at least two passengers were thrown from the vehicle.
The driver and all five passengers were transported to area hospitals. Three of them were reported in serious condition while the other three sustained minor injuries.
The six people in the vehicle, all under age 20, are residents of the Eagle/Waverly area. None were using seat belts, officials said.
