Crash alert: Woman killed in single-vehicle accident in Nance County
NANCE COUNTY, NE – The Nance County Sheriff’s Office reported a woman was killed in a single-vehicle car accident on Saturday night.
The sheriff’s office and local rescue crews responded to the scene on North 270th Avenue between North 480th and North 470th Streets at about 10 p.m. They found a woman unresponsive inside a severely damaged SUV that was in a ditch.
The driver was removed from the vehicle and taken to Boone County Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The victim was identified as 29-year-old Courtney Johnson, a mother of three children.
The Sheriff’s Office said it had contacted the Nebraska State Patrol to conduct an investigation into the crash.
