Crash alert: Collision at 204th and Q Street in Omaha kills 1, injures 5
OMAHA, NE – Authorities are investigating a crash in Omaha Friday morning that left one person dead and five others injured, WOWT reports.
Investigators said a vehicle with five teenagers inside was heading west on Q Street shortly before 4 a.m. when it collided at an intersection with a car going south on 204th Street.
One person in the first car was pronounced dead at the scene, and was identified as 18-year-old Jamin Creek. The others in the car, three 17-year-olds and an 18-year-old, were taken to the hospital. One was said to be in critical condition while the others were in stable condition.
The other driver, age 43, was also hospitalized as a precaution.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said alcohol may have been a factor in the wreck, which remains under investigation by the office’s accident reconstruction team..
