Crash alert: Driver killed in collision between semi and pickup on Highway 2
LINCOLN, NE – The driver of a pickup truck died after a collision with a semi truck in Lancaster County Sunday afternoon.
According to News Channel Nebraska, law enforcement authorities and rescue crews responded to the scene on Highway 2 between South 120th Street and South 134th Street at about 12:30 p.m.
Investigators said that 43-year-old Eli Miller was driving a Chevrolet pickup eastbound on the highway when he crossed over the center line and hit a semi that was heading west.
Miller, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver, 47-year-old Vincent Wood, was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
