Crash alert: Elderly man killed in tractor accident on property near Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, NE – The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office said an elderly man died in a tractor accident on Saturday afternoon, according to News Channel Nebraska.
The incident happened on S. 132nd Street just east of Springfield. According to the sheriff’s office, a 79-year-old man went out to trim trees on his private property but did not return as scheduled. When his wife went out to look for him, she found him in a field, pinned underneath his tractor.
An autopsy was scheduled on the victim, whose identity was not released. No specific details regarding the circumstances of the accident were available.
