Crash alert: 2 teenagers critically injured when car and semi crash in Colfax County
COLFAX COUNTY, NE – Two teenage sisters were critically injured in a crash at an intersection in Colfax County Wednesday night, according to News Channel Nebraska.
The Colfax County Sheriff’s Office said a semi crashed into a car in the area of Highway 15 and Highway 91 between Clarkson and Howells at about 7:30 p.m. The driver of the car had stopped at a stop sign and then pulled out in front of the semi, witnesses told investigators.
The two teenage girls, who were in the car, were taken by helicopter to an area hospital where they were listed in serious to critical condition. The 47-year-old driver of the semi was not seriously hurt.
