Crash alert: 61-year-old motorcyclist dies after accident in northwest Lincoln
LINCOLN, NE – A 61-year-old motorcycle rider died in an accident in northwest Lincoln late Monday night, reports KLIN.
The victim was identified by police as Kevin Ginger of Lincoln. Police said Ginger was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle south on N 1st Street at about 11 p.m. when he lost control of the bike and collided with a curb while approaching a roundabout at Adams Street.
Ginger was thrown from the motorcycle. Despite life-saving measures attempted by police and paramedics, he was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.
Police are investigating the crash and are trying to determine whether drugs or alcohol were a contributing factor. Ginger was reported to have been wearing a helmet at the time.
