Crash alert: Driver killed in pickup crash on Interstate 80 off-ramp in Omaha
OMAHA, NE – The Omaha Police Department reported a driver was killed when he drove off an Interstate 80 ramp on Saturday morning.
Police responded to the area of I-80 east and L Street after the accident was reported at about 10:15 a.m. A witness told officers that the driver of a Chevy Avalanche appeared to be taking the L Street westbound ramp when the pickup truck swerved across the eastbound off-ramp. Police said the vehicle went off the roadway and into a ravine.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and was identified as 44-year-old Pedro de Pedro Dominguez of Omaha. He was the only person in the car.
