Crash alert: Pedestrian dies after being hit by 2 vehicles on North Freeway
OMAHA, NE – The Omaha Police Department reports a pedestrian died after being hit by two vehicles on Sunday night.
Officers were dispatched to the North Freeway (Highway 75) at Hamilton Street shortly before 8 p.m. Police determined Cody A. Stiles of Omaha was hit in the northbound lanes by a 2011 Ford Escape. He was then struck immediately afterward by a 2016 Volvo SUV.
Stiles was pronounced dead at the scene by Omaha Fire Medics. No other injuries were reported.
The Nebraska State Patrol arrived at the scene to assist with the investigation, and the northbound lanes of the interstate were shut down for about two hours.
