Crash alert: 2-car crash at 120th Street and Blondo Street in Omaha kills passenger
OMAHA, NE – The Omaha Police Department released details of a fatal collision involving two vehicles that occurred early Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to the scene near 120th Street and Blondo Street shortly before 3:20 a.m. Police said the driver of a Buick LeSabre was going north when the vehicle was struck by a westbound Toyota Camry.
A passenger in the Buick, identified as 37-year-old Jamie Novak of Prague, Nebraska, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Buick, 31-year-old Jacob Slayden of Prague, was taken to CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital. No details were provided on Slayden’s condition.
Omaha Police are investigating the wreck, which shut down the intersection for about five hours.
