Crash alert: 3 vehicles involved in chain-reaction crash at Kearney intersection
KEARNEY, NE – A chain-reaction car accident in Kearney Monday morning injured one of the drivers involved, according to a report by KHGI.
Police responded to the accident scene in the area of 30th Avenue and Canal Heights Drive at about 8 a.m. Investigators determined that three vehicles were going south on 30th Avenue when one of them attempted to make a left turn onto Canal Heights Drive.
When a second vehicle slowed down to avert a crash, it was hit from behind by a third vehicle. The resulting collision also caused the first vehicle to be rear-ended. One driver sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized. There were no passengers in any of the vehicles.
Kearney Police are continuing their investigation into the accident.
