Crash alert: 60-year-old man dead in Lincoln motorcycle accident
LINCOLN, NE – Police say a man was killed in a motorcycle accident in southeast Lincoln early Sunday morning.
According to KOLN, officers arrived at the scene at S 48th Street and Bancroft Avenue shortly after 5 a.m. Investigators determined that 60-year-old Randy Turner of Lincoln was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle south on S 48th Street when the bike struck the curb several times.
Turner was ejected from the motorcycle and was found unresponsive in the roadway. Police attempted life-saving measures but Turner was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
It was not yet clear whether drugs or alcohol were a contributing factor in the wreck. Police said Turner was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.
