Crash alert: Lincoln car crash sends utility pole toppling onto family’s home
LINCOLN, NE – A car accident in Lincoln last week caused a utility pole to topple onto a family’s home, according to a report by KOLN.
The incident took place Thursday night in the vicinity of 27th Street and O Street at about 8 p.m. According to Lincoln police, a driver was heading north on 27th Street when the passenger in the vehicle grabbed the steering wheel. The car then swerved into the yard of a home and hit the pole, which fell onto the house.
The homeowner, Shannon Russell, said the family was home when the crash occurred but fortunately no one was injured. She added that the area where the pole landed was near the bedroom window of her children.
