Crash alert: 8-year-old boy riding bicycle struck by vehicle in Plattsmouth
PLATTSMOUTH, NE – A boy was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Plattsmouth Tuesday afternoon, according to the Fremont Tribune.
The 8-year-old was riding in the area of North 10th Street and Avenue E when the incident took place at about 5 p.m. Plattsmouth police said the bicyclist entered the intersection without stopping at a stop sign, and the driver of a southbound vehicle did not have enough time to avoid hitting him.
The boy sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Police did not issue any citations in the accident.
