Crash alert: Pickup and semi collide on Highway 75, leaving 2 injured
NEBRASKA CITY, NE – Two drivers were hospitalized after a pickup truck collided with a semi-trailer on Highway 75, News Channel Nebraska reports.
The incident occurred Thursday afternoon south of Nebraska City, where the vehicles collided head-on. According to investigators, the driver of the pickup was going south on Highway 75 when it sideswiped a semi headed north. The pickup then crossed over the center line into the path of oncoming traffic.
The driver of the pickup was transported from the scene by medical helicopter. The other driver was transported by ambulance and taken to CHI Health St. Mary’s. No information was immediately released on their conditions.
The incident is under investigation by the Nebraska State Patrol.
