Crash alert: Bicyclist hospitalized after collision with pickup in midtown Omaha

OMAHA, NE – A bicycle rider was hospitalized following an accident in midtown Omaha on Tuesday, reports WOWT.

The collision occurred in the vicinity of Dodge Street and North 38th Street.  Police said the bicycle collided with a pickup truck after the driver of the pickup went through a red light.

The bicyclist sustained injuries that were not regarded as life-threatening.

Omaha police are continuing their investigation into the incident to determine who was at fault, and said that at least one citation was expected.
