Crash alert: Driver found dead after car overturns in water in Cass County
CASS COUNTY, NE – Authorities responded to the scene of a fatal car accident in Cass County on Sunday, KOLN reports.
Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of Havelock Avenue and 286th Street in Elmwood after the crash was reported.
They arrived to find that the driver of a 2004 Chevy Cavalier had been ejected from the vehicle, which was overturned in the water.
The driver, identified as 34-year-old Kyle Wainwright of Lincoln, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Nebraska State Patrol was called in to investigate and reconstruct the scene of the accident.
