Crash alert: Pickup truck accident in Seward County kills 1, injures 4
SEWARD COUNTY, NE – Authorities said a pickup truck accident in Seward County Saturday left one person dead and four others injured.
According to KOLN, deputies with the Seward County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene in the area of 210th Road east of Seward at about 2:45 p.m.
Investigators determined that the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup lost control of the vehicle while heading south on a gravelly portion of 210th, causing the Ram to crash and roll over.
There were five people in the pickup, all between the ages of 14 and 17. One of them was pronounced dead at the scene while the other four were hospitalized with injuries that were not regarded as life-threatening.
The Nebraska State Patrol and the county sheriff’s office are investigating the wreck.
