Crash alert: Driver leaves scene of Omaha crash that injured 2, police say
OMAHA, NE – Omaha police were at the scene of an accident that injured two people near 25th Street and L Street on Tuesday night, KETV reported.
Police said two vehicles were involved, a Honda Civic and a Ford Explorer. As the Honda driver attempted to make a turn from L Street onto JFK Freeway, investigators said the vehicle was struck by a westbound Ford Explorer.
The driver of the Honda, Antonio Lara-Ramirez, left the scene of the crash and was later located near 28th Street, according to police. Charges are now pending against Lara-Ramirez, who was hospitalized with a head injury. The driver of the Ford was also in the hospital with a cut on her arm.
