LINCOLN, NE – Police in Lincoln said a driver died following a single-vehicle accident Sunday morning, according to WOWT.
Investigators said 23-year-old Hortencia Hernandez was driving east on Highway 2 at about 7 a.m. when she tried to merge into the turn lane to go south on 14th Street. Hernandez lost control of her car while negotiating a curve and drove off the road. Her vehicle struck a traffic signal support pole and a railway crossing arm.
