Crash alert: 1 dead, 1 injured after SUV slams into grain truck in Douglas County
WATERLOO, NE – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said two vehicles were involved in a fatal collision on Thursday morning.
According to WOWT, investigators said the driver of an SUV was headed west on Blondo Street at about 7:30 a.m. and did not stop before entering the intersection with 264th Street.
The SUV collided with a grain truck that was going north on 264th Street. The driver of the SUV was killed in the wreck. The victim’s name was not immediately released. The truck driver was reported to have sustained minimal injuries.
Roads around the scene were closed in all directions for the crash investigation.
