Crash alert: 19-year-old driver killed in 2-car accident in Lincoln
LINCOLN, NE – Police said one driver was killed and another injured when their vehicles collided in Lincoln on Monday night.
According to KLKN, the incident happened at the intersection of 70th Street and Holdrege Street. Investigators said 19-year-old Kolby Elliott was driving a Nissan northbound at a high rate of speed as he entered the intersection.
The Nissan veered into the southbound lanes and then struck the front of an F-150 driven by 82-year-old George Skorohod. Elliott was taken to an area hospital and was pronounced dead at 10:37 p.m.
Skorohod was reported to have suffered minor injuries.
Lincoln police are continuing their investigation into the wreck.
