Crash alert: Driver seen racing near Millard involved in fatal crash
DOUGLAS COUNTY, NE – Authorities said a driver was killed in Douglas County Friday afternoon in a crash believed to have involved racing.
According to KPVI, sheriff’s deputies responded to the vicinity of 194th Avenue and Q Street near Millard after the incident was reported at about 3:40 p.m.
A Chrysler 300 S was located in a ditch near the intersection and the driver, identified as Michael Elgin, was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was in the car.
Witnesses reported seeing the Chrysler racing with another vehicle prior to the crash. The other vehicle was located.
The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the incident.
