Crash alert: Man killed when vehicle crashes into semi on Nebraska Highway 78
GUIDE ROCK, NE – A collision between two vehicles in south-central Nebraska last week left one of the drivers dead, the Lincoln Journal-Star reports.
The Webster County Sheriff’s Department released details of the accident that took place Wednesday on Highway 78 north of Guide Rock at about 5:30 p.m.
According to the sheriff’s office, 23-year-old Juan Perez was driving south on the highway when his vehicle collided with a semi-tractor going northbound. Perez, a resident of Superior, was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was not injured.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the wreck and said it is not believed that drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
