Crash alert: Motorcycle rider dies after crashing into fence in Lincoln
LINCOLN, NE – Police and emergency crews were called to the scene of a deadly motorcycle accident in Lincoln on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Lincoln Journal-Star, two motorcycle riders were headed north on South 70th Street sometime before 5 p.m. when one of them lost control of their bike. The motorcycle hit a curb and then collided with a fence. The rider was declared dead at the scene.
The other motorcycle rider sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized, though no details were released on how that person was injured.
Police did not disclose the names of the two motorcyclists. 70th Street northbound was shut down for the accident investigation.
