Crash alert: 2 dead after tractor-trailer overturns on Interstate 80 in Seward County
SEWARD COUNTY, NE – A tractor-trailer accident on Interstate 80 in Seward County left two people dead, according to a report by KETV.
Deputies with the Seward County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on Interstate 80 near Milford after the incident happened sometime before 3:15 a.m.
An initial investigation found that the driver of the truck lost control while headed west on I-80, and the vehicle overturned. The sheriff’s office said that two people were pronounced dead at the crash scene. They were identified by the Seward County Sheriff’s Office as 38-year-old Sergey Korotash from Sacramento, California, and 41-year-old Mikhail Tarbeev of Carmichael, California.
The Nebraska State Patrol and the Seward County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the wreck, and it is believed at this time that road conditions were a contributing factor.
