Crash alert: Car accident near Jefferson County school leaves 2 drivers injured
JEFFERSON COUNTY, NE – A car accident near a school in Jefferson County Wednesday morning left two people injured, according to News Channel Nebraska.
Authorities responded to the scene in the area of 725th Road and 142nd Road near Tri-County JR-SR High School. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff, the driver of a Ford Windstar minivan was headed north and pulled in front of a southbound Ford Taurus sedan, causing a collision.
The two drivers were taken to an area hospital with what were reported to be minor injuries. The identities of the two, both males, were not released.
All but one lane of the roadway was closed to traffic while the scene was being cleared.
