Crash alert: Driver cited for DUI in accident at 24th Street and Pratt Street
OMAHA, NE – Three people were injured in an accident involving someone driving under the influence Friday morning, the Omaha Police Department said.
An investigation determined that the driver of a westbound 2010 Freightliner failed to yield while entering the intersection of 24th Street and Pratt Street at about 10:30 a.m. The Freightliner was struck by a Dodge sedan heading south.
Three people were rescued after being trapped in the Dodge and were taken to University of Nebraska Medical Center with serious injuries. All three were later listed in stable condition.
The driver of the Freightliner, 28-year-old Jesse D Uhlmann of Carter Lake, Iowa, was not injured. He was cited for DUI-drugs, DUS, failure to yield-stop sign and possible drug paraphernalia.
