Crash alert: Omaha police arrest motorist involved in head-on collision on Center Street
OMAHA, NE – Police in Omaha arrested one of the drivers involved in a collision in Omaha Monday evening.
According to WOWT, officers responded to the scene in the area of 56th Street and Center Street after the incident occurred at about 6:45 p.m.
Police determined that a driver crossed over a center line and crashed head-on into another vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle was transported to an area hospital but was not believed to be seriously injured.
The other driver was placed under arrest, and police are investigating whether alcohol was a contributing factor in the wreck.
Center Street was closed to traffic in both directions while the scene was being cleared and investigated.
