Crash Alert: 1 killed, 1 injured in crash in Omaha
OMAHA, NE – According to News Channel Nebraska, one person was killed and another was injured in a crash in Omaha on Sunday night.
Authorities say the crash took place shortly before 9:00 p.m. near the intersection of Dodge Street and 76th Street. One vehicle involved in the collision ended up catching on fire. Police suspect that speed and alcohol were likely factors in the cause of the collision.
The driver of the other vehicle involved was suspected to be driving under the influence at the time of the accident. The passenger in that car sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police continue to investigate this incident.
