Crash Alert: 2 killed in crash on I-29 near Percival
OMAHA, NE – According to The Hamburg Reporter, two Omaha people were killed in a crash on I-29 near Percival on Saturday.
Authorities say the crash took place on Saturday night when a 26-year-old driver of a 2021 Dodge Charger was traveling north on I-29 lost control of the vehicle and struck a 20-year-old driver in a Jeep Wrangler. Both vehicles involved rolled over following the crash.
The driver and two passengers of the Jeep sustained serious injuries in the collision and were transported to UNMC for treatment. Two other passengers who were also in the Jeep were killed in the impact and pronounced dead on the scene.
Police suspect that alcohol may have contributed to the cause of this fatal incident. An investigation is ongoing.
